It has been a while since I last posted on my blog. Since I last wrote, I have changed jobs, moved to Houston, TX and forgot how much I wanted to blog. So, time to try this again.
Marelle, my wonderful wife, has always counseled me to do what I love most. For me I have 5 big priorities, so I stand at the crossroads daily, trying to figure out where to spend my time. The five loves of my life are, in order of priority:
- My relationship with god.
- My family.
- Technology.
- Cooking.
- Fitness.
One serious issue with this set of loves is that the fitness one falls off the wagon due to 1-4 taking all of my time. Apparently I get to pay for that one. I just had a physical and the nice doctor, whom I paid a good bit of money, decided I now have high blood pressure and high cholesterol. He said, lose weight (see #4 equals slight conflict) and exercise daily (see #1-4 equals big conflict). I now need to find a new balance in life's tenuous tediousness. Luckily #1 and 2 want me to be healthy, so I have support there. #3 and 4 are the problem. I am still pondering how to put them in the right place. I am certain I can figure this out....... better be soon.
